At the end of March 2023, myself my 86 year old mother, son, 17 month old grandson and daughter inlaw were evicted from the home we’ve been residing for the past 4 years. My mom got a 8x20 camper and is sitting on a lot across from her son, to live her golden years out of. Goes from living in a 3 bedroom house paying the mortgage on to a tiny camper. Me and mine Unfortunately had to go back to my mentally abusive ex, my youngest sons father. I swore I would never do. All my friends had a full house. Rent has trippled in the past 4 years, and not many have room for 3 adults 1 child and 2 dogs. My son and his wife are young parents and I feel better when Im around to look after my grandson, and make sure they are all safe plus they down and out at the moment also. The situation we are in definitely is not the safest. I NEVER intended on returning to the 500 sq ft dibilitaed MH. My son and his family are living in his father’s living room. I was getting tired of getting yelled at every day and wasn’t good for anyone so recently I moved with a friend who was grateful enough to let me stay. I have never been in a situation like this. I have worked hard my whole life and raised three boys by myself. Always had my own place and paid all my bills on time. I can’t buy a place because" I thought" I was being responsible by not using credit cards because everyone going in debt and stayed away. Because I didn’t use them, and get into debt, I have NO credit therefore can’t purchase a home. Crazy huh, this world we live in. Recently I became disabled and living on disability check. I have been in constant contact with HUD Tallahassee CoC, and every other place that helps with housing but apparently they have no funding. I live in crawfordville and prefer the country but as long as it has a roof and running water we be happy. I’m up for any solutions but keep my future and my grandson future in mind. I don’t want a handout just a helping hand. I just need a little help. I have no problem making payments. If not please please point me in the right direction. If someone could please help us you won’t regret it. Please help us. I promised my grandson his own bedroom with baby shark curtains. I have no where else to turn. I have found a few used mobile homes for sale under 70,000. It seems like the only way I can afford making payments is buying a place but I don’t have credit so I am stuck trying to rent a ridiculously outrageous price for a tiny house or rundown trailer making mortgage payments definitely is cheaper. I always pay my bills don’t lie, steal, never been arrested etc
