My name is Desiree Ramirez. I’m currently living in Daggett CA with my 18yr old son. Daggett is 7 miles from Barstow CA off the 40 Fwy. Unfortunately we are at risk of being homeless once again. My son is a high school graduate but there isn’t very many opportunities for work in Daggett. We don’t have a car. He has been working side jobs but doesn’t make enough to pay our rent. And public transportation doesn’t come out this far. My mom was helping us pay our rent. Unfortunately mom passed away December 13 2023. So now we have no one to help us pay rent.
