Housing voucher or help owning a home

I’m a single mom of an autistic teenager on a fixed income, we’re in desperate need of a home, the one we live in unlivable and unhealthy,rat infested and falling down,we can’t afford to move to another rental at rent prices,we would love help with owning a home so my son has a place to live when I’m gone, I’ve been researching options, but don’t know what the best one would be for us section 8 housing voucher,or FHA USDA,SPOA,we need something now before we loose our lives in this house due to a fire from rats eating the wiring or another hurricane wipes it out,we didn’t fair well with the last 3 here in Horseshoe Beach Florida, please help, I don’t know what to do
